All About ComRadio

ComRadio was started in 2003 as an offshoot of the College of Communications. We offer entirely student run programming ranging from talk shows, a nightly newscast, sports reports and play-by-play of most major Penn State sporting events. When we have classes, ComRadio broadcasts music and news reports from the Associated Press at the top and bottom of every hour.

ComRadio talk shows range from hard news to sports talk to chit-chat to gossip to relationship topics. We allow students to expand their horizons and sharpen their broadcasting skills. Although many students in ComRadio are part of the College of Communications, we accept students of all majors and concentrations.

The evening newscast is the flagship broadcast of the ComRadio News department. The nightly news airs at 6 pm every weekday. Students of all ages are welcome to take part of the newscast. We use professional equipment and technology to simmulate the work environment in a real newsroom.
